This guide shows everything you can do to manage your Limited card: freeze and unfreeze, report it stolen, change or set a PIN, update card limits, view card transactions, and check membership benefits, cancel cards. Follow the steps below to take control of your cards quickly and safely.
Viewing Your Cards
Your cards are displayed by cardholder, making it easy to see who each card belongs to at a glance.
This view is fully filterable — you can filter by cardholder, card status, funding mode, and more, to quickly find the card you're looking for.
Once you've found it, select the card you wish to manage.
Seeing Your Card
On the main card view, you can:
- Click Flip Card to view full card details
- See your funding mode (Debit or Credit)
- View your available balance or credit
- Adjust your spend limit directly
This gives you a quick overview and control without needing to go deeper into settings.
Managing Card Controls
For more advanced settings, go to Settings → Card Controls.
Here, you can fully customize how your card behaves.
Basic Controls
- One Merchant Lock — restrict the card to a single merchant
- Allow P2P Transfers — enable sending money using the card
- Spending Limit — set limits and choose frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
Advanced Controls
Click Advanced to unlock more detailed controls:
- Set per-transaction limits
- Define daily, weekly, and monthly limits
- Allow or block specific merchants or categories
- Control geographic usage (countries, regions, states)
- Enable or disable usage channels:
- Online
- Contactless
- Magnetic stripe
- ATM withdrawals
- Cashback
- Recurring payments
These controls give you full flexibility over how and where your card can be used.
Editing Card Details
Under Card Details, you can:
- Add or update a card nickname
- Leave internal notes for better organization
Click Save once you’ve made your changes.
Switching Between Debit and Credit
Your card can operate in either Debit or Credit mode.
- Debit uses your available balance
- Credit uses your allocated credit line
You can switch between modes anytime by clicking Switch Funding Mode in the card settings.
Freeze a card
- Head to web.limitedapp.com and click Cards.
- Select the card you want to freeze.
- Under Settings, click Freeze Card.
- If you want, input a short reason (this is optional).
- Click Freeze Card to confirm.
The card will be frozen immediately and cannot be used for payments while frozen.
To unfreeze a card, go back to the same card, click Unfreeze, and confirm. The card will become active again.
Report a card stolen
- Go to Cards and select the card you want to report.
- Under Settings, click Report Stolen.
- You may be asked to describe what happened (this is optional).
- Click Continue and follow the prompts to confirm.
Reporting a card as stolen will permanently deactivate that card. A replacement card will be issued and shipped to the address on your account.
Set or change your PIN
- Go to Cards and select the card you want to update.
- Under Settings, click PIN Setup / Change.
- Enter your new PIN (4–6 digits).
- Re-enter the same PIN to confirm.
- Click Update PIN.
Your new PIN will be active immediately. Choose a PIN you can remember but that others won’t guess.
Cancelling a Card
If you no longer need a card, you can cancel it permanently.
- Click Cancel Card
- (Optional) Provide a reason
- Confirm to proceed
If you cancel a card, all associated cards will be deleted as well.
Viewing Transactions
Go to the Transactions section to monitor activity and track your spending in one place.
Exploring Offers
Under the Offers section, you'll find offers you can utilize with your card — for example, earning a number of points back when you spend a certain amount at a specific merchant.
Offers are subject to change, and different card tiers may have access to different offers.
Exploring Card Benefits
Each card comes with its own set of benefits, including the Visa benefits tied to your card.
Open the Benefits section to view all available perks, rewards, and features tied to your card tier, along with guidance on how to use them.
